Through iron gates late at night
Next to a chapel is a lady in white
Rock like plaques on grassy mounds
Paying respects to the families underground
PhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
Touching grass underneath her feet
Knowing where each person sleeps
Telling each, farewell again
But knows right here she would remain
PhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
Inside her hand an offering of flowers
Always staying until the late hours
Then places carefully her flowering array
And has to leave then goes away
 PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Through the iron gates it’s time to go
Into the dark ground down below
She wears a smile with a yearning look
But then the ground just opens up
PhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
This ritual happens each midnight
A beautiful vision of a lady in white
The smiling lady, then disappears
The flowers all moistened by her tears!
 PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Through the gates not far away
An unknown lady in her grave does lay
Rumour has it here she does roam
As she could not find her way back home!

Very Good Lynn,  think many places have a white Lady.. near where I live there is reported to be a White Lady that haunts the grounds of Newstead Abbey..
    May she rest in peace!!
