A Pillow Fight In Heaven

Hello my sweet friends…Today I decided to do a poem based on my Grandmother who was an Angel…She was bedridden and crippled from rheumatoid arthritis for many years and still had time to smile and care for her children…My Dad was the youngest child of thirteen, he watched her suffer greatly…One day he seen four beautiful Angels with white wings come from above my Grandma’s bed…Two of the Angels held Grandma’s arms, two held her legs and took my Grandma away…So here’s my poem to my Grandma, I’ve named it A Pillow Fight In Heaven, I hope you enjoy…Have a great weekend friends, much love always, Lynn xxxx

Twas a night just like any in the Heavens above
All the Babes settled down in the nursery of Love
Learning has ended, not a sound nor a peep
Lulled into slumber drifting off to dreams keep!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
On Earth, Mama cries as she knows the time’s near
A sufferer of pain and now her soul feels much fear
Not for herself but the young ones she bore
In a bed she was stricken with a heart which was pure!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
The clock back in Heaven is now resting its hands
A silence like golden, in this faraway land
The Elders awaiting for the Owls nightly call
Tis the night long awaited for The Newcomer’s Ball!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
On Earth a little child, and the youngest of thirteen
Watched four beautiful Angels arrive like a dream
They came from above each with wings of snow white
And lifted his Mama then bade him “Goodnight!”
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Not a breeze nor a stir and the calmest of weathers
Pillows hand made from the Angels first feathers
A new Angel is born, yet on Earth life now dies
A victory in Heaven but on the Earth is heard CRIES!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
The vicar announced “She was an Angel from birth
The most loving of Mothers born here on this Earth
Never forsaking, although crippled with R.A
She worked for the good Lord and blessed him each day!”
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
The Angels were lined up, in groups of just seven
Pillows all fluffed, made especially for Heaven
Such a fun celebration in the Heavens that night
At the newcomers Ball the Angels shone with DELIGHT!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Four Angels of flight holding the newcomer’s limbs
They arrived at the Ball, now the celebrations begin!
On Earth this new Angel was bedridden through much pain
When she got to the Ball she was made brand new again!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Millions of white feathers for the Newcomers Flight
A Ballroom of laughter, now each Angel pillow fights
So enthralling to watch was this magical display
Twas the first time in Heaven that the Angels shout, HOORAY!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Next morn back on Earth feathers fell from the skies
White as the snowflakes, adrift like butterflies
The headlines that night said “A freak of weird weathers
When this unidentified object shed millions of white FEATHERS!

Lynn, the last time I cried was at my Dad’s funeral 27 years ago.  I started to shed tears reading your wonderful poetry, enhanced by the sweet music.  Your grandmother is surely an angel and her grand ddaughter is angelic.  I am so honored to call you friend.
