When You Was Small
Hello again… Do you ever think back to when your children was small, I seem to drift off to the time of my happier moments quite often…Hence my new poem, When You Was Small…I hope you enjoy it, much love again…Lynn xxxx
A silent word without no speech
A hug to go where clouds can’t reach
A little hope without much chance
A shelter where just you can dance
The biggest memory that I recall
Is of the days when you was small!
Inside my womb I felt you grow
A miracle with time did show
This movement underneath my skin
And then this yearning spread within
It wont be long just wait and see
For the tiny Angel inside of me!
Alarm bells rang the time was near
Although expected, I shook with fear
Perhaps I’m not quite ready yet
PUSH! She yelled, my forehead’s WET!
And then a sound of whimpering
Placed into my arms a splendorous thing!
Two eyes, one mouth a pretty nose
A smile to die for, without clothes!
This miniature version of my kin
The greatest feeling felt within
So the very best memory that I recall
Was the day we met, When You Was Small!
