An Angel’s New Wings

Twas a cold winters morning, the trees stripped and bare

A sweet little robin with family to care

The humans forgotten to spare them some scraps

The sweet little robin her memory does lapse!

Up high in the tree tops three babies now cry

Their Mama forgetting her young way up high

Her tummy now empty her strength starts to fail

Laid still in the courtyard the skies start to hail!

A hobo was passing with morsel in…

Just around your head, I see a tiny quiff
Reminding me of small waves or candy on a stick
At times I don’t believe your here a miracle of time
As just around your head I know that you are mine
PhotobucketPhotobucket Photobucket
Just around your chin, I see your Granddad there
So prominent and proud as you are his true heir
As I watch this part of you my eyes are full of tears
As just around your chin you’re bringing back my years
Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
Just around your eyes, I see a part of you
Even in your smile I see love shining through
It feels like I’ve gone back in time could it really be
As just around your eyes I see sweet memory
Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
Just around your mouth, I see a cheeky grin
Two dimples at the side of it going out and in
When you suckle on your milk it takes my breath away
As just around your mouth is where I want to stay
PhotobucketPhotobucket Photobucket
Just around your heart, is where I want to hide
Forever by loving you remaining deep inside
I never knew what Grandma’s felt until I got to know
As just around your heart, is where my love does grow!

Remembering the sound of hooves on cobbled streets
A sturdy man with reins with treasures near his feet
He bellowed loud and clear whilst sitting on his throne
These words still haunt my mind “Any old rags and bone!”
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
 Photobucket
Chorus
Photobucket
Any old rags and bone! Any old rags and bone!
These words he’d cry out loud, I’d hear them in my home
They all rushed to him with bags filled up with ware
I’d look at him transfixed and he’d just sit and stare!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Ma and Pa would go, right up to his big horse
All mottled up with muck, his mane all tired and coarse
They’d pat him on his back and tell him it’s alright
But when his Master called, he’d fill the roads with sh*te!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
 Photobucket
Chorus
Photobucket
Any old rags and bone! Any old rags and bone!
These words he’d cry out loud, I’d hear them in my home
They all rushed to him with bags filled up with ware
I’d look at him transfixed and he’d just sit and stare!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

I never seen no bones, but loads of scruffy clothes
He looked as proud as punch with mismatched stocking toes
He would smile at me with teeth all made of gold
Then he would shout them words, what made my blood run cold!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
 Photobucket
Chorus
Photobucket
Any old rags and bone! Any old rags and bone!
These words he’d cry out loud, I’d hear them in my home
They all rushed to him with bags filled up with ware
I’d look at him transfixed and he’d just sit and stare!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
 Photobucket
Alas one day he died, whilst eating fish and chips
He never stood a chance as down his throat it slipped
At last he got his wish and he’s not up there alone
A cart what’s full of rags, and in his throat, he’s got his BONE!
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Photobucket
Chorus
Photobucket
Any old rags and bone! Any old rags and bone!
These words he’d cry out loud, I’d hear them in my home
They all rushed to him with bags filled up with ware
I’d look at him transfixed, AND HE’D JUST SIT AND STARE!

Can love sometimes die or maybe forget
Of all of the good times when we’re upset
Then anger comes knocking right at the door
We welcome it in, but don’t know what for!
Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
Then all this anger produces a new game
Making us say things to hurt us again
Just trying it’s best to conjure up thoughts
Openly sharing the hurt which it sought!
Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
The anger all goes and rage just comes in
Stomping and ugly, the war now begins
Engulfing our brain with lets have some fun
Spurting and swearing now evils begun!
Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
Then evil just does things that you wouldn’t do
Heating you up then tears wet you through
They roll down your cheeks and cool you right down
Too saturate evil to diminish that frown!
Photobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
Tears make your heart ache to show that it cares
Making it quite tender to need someone there
Afterwards you feel sorry for all the above
And then you open your heart, to bring back the love!

Through iron gates late at night
Next to a chapel is a lady in white
Rock like plaques on grassy mounds
Paying respects to the families underground
PhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
Touching grass underneath her feet
Knowing where each person sleeps
Telling each, farewell again
But knows right here she would remain
PhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
Inside her hand an offering of flowers
Always staying until the late hours
Then places carefully her flowering array
And has to leave then goes away
 PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Through the iron gates it’s time to go
Into the dark ground down below
She wears a smile with a yearning look
But then the ground just opens up
PhotobucketPhotobucket PhotobucketPhotobucket
This ritual happens each midnight
A beautiful vision of a lady in white
The smiling lady, then disappears
The flowers all moistened by her tears!
 PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Through the gates not far away
An unknown lady in her grave does lay
Rumour has it here she does roam
As she could not find her way back home!

The Angel And The Butterfly

Morning friends…Today the garden was kissed by the snow hiding all of the beautiful colours…So I decided to do a poem about colours, hope you enjoy…The Angel And The Butterfly…Have a great weekend and stay warm…Thinking of you always, much love, Lynn xxx

The Angel And The Butterfly
Photobucket
The Angel met up with the butterfly
She flapped her wings and then gave a sigh
Noticing the beautiful colours around
Spurting from the earth’s moist ground
 Photobucket
The butterfly said “There’s so many faces
Beautiful colours from different races
Yellow’s, brown’s, pink’s, black’s and white’s
They belong together and yet they fight!”
 Photobucket
The Angel replied “Some people are blind
As they don’t see the rainbow of humankind
Mother nature thought it would entice
Then added colour to make them look nice.”
 Photobucket
The butterfly said “If only they could see
All of these wonderful colours are for free
And maybe in time they’ll mingle all together
Then all of the colours will be as one forever.”
 Photobucket
The Angel replied, “It’s such a waste
By making them different like food which we taste
God gave them choice then Satan stepped in
To tell them their different then wars did begin.”
 Photobucket
The butterfly said, “As a caterpillar I was green
Not many liked the colour which they seen
But cocooned my heart changed my very form
It was only then a beautiful butterfly was born.”
 Photobucket
The butterfly shrugged and the Angel just glowed
Then they both realised the love they both showed
Letting their colours of difference stay bright
Together they flapped their wings, then bid each goodnight!
