Hello again friends, told you I’ll get on your nerves now I’m cured of the dreaded writers block, tee hee…Just finished doing my Father’s Day poems, so all those wonderful Dad’s and children out there, these are for you with love…Hugs and big kisses to you all, from my heart to yours…Enjoy xxxx     If It Wasn’t For You       If it wasn’t for you Dad my time here on Earth Would have no definition, with no will nor no worth You planted a seed in my heart and it grew If it wasn’t for you Dad my world would be blue!   If it wasn’t for you Dad I would not want to live You gave me great valour which helped me to forgive My words became poems and YOU made them flow If it wasn’t for you Dad, my heart would let go!   If it wasn’t for you Dad my skies would fall down As you managed to lift up my deepest dark frowns I thank you for making this heart skip a beat If it wasn’t for you Dad, no words could I speak!       ———————————————————————————————————————                 Footprints In My Heart       Oh, what a heart which speaks unto mine From some special moments from way back in time Back to the days when my footprints were small These are some treasures of which I still recall!   You taught me to walk with my head held up high And gave me broad shoulders to dry my sweet eyes You said it’s ‘alright’ to make some mistakes As all can be rendered, but the cradle can break!   These are some gifts that you gave unto me Beautiful treasures, passed down costing FREE! Your footprints embedded, look how they have grown Two perfect impressions, of the best man I have known!           ———————————————————————————————————————-                 Where have all the years gone?     Where have all the years gone? Many have passed by Remembering the love that you’ve given me Dear Dad, I can’t help but cry!   True happiness you also gave to me With love and friendship too Even times when I hurt you most You helped me to come shining through!   How proud I feel to have you Dad You was sent to me from above Happy Father’s Day with many thanks And I also send you much LOVE!       ———————————————————————————————————————-               More         Define what a Dad is, then take your time Honest and truthful may come to mind Funny and witty, a person you adore All I can tell you is, my Dad is more!   My Dad’s a rock, sturdy and bold If I’m unhappy I have him to hold He lifts me much higher than planes ever soar But I still do tell you, my Dad is more!   Never a bad word, has he for me He’s like the Angel, I’d like to be A shoulder to cry on, never a bore, Angelic and gifted, Yes! my Dad IS MORE!                       ————————————————————————————————————————                          In a league of his own         My Dad is in a league of his own Always dependable and true Even through the darkest hour He can pour gentle light onto YOU!   From the moment I set eyes on him I knew he was special and kind He gave my life much more purpose Such an Angel and a rare perfect find!   So have a wonderful Father’s Day You are more than a Father to me Someone more precious than anyone Just look you produced LITTLE ME!   Xx Hehehe xx             ——————————————————————————————————————–                   For You Dad             For you Dad I’ll do anything You ever ask of me For me Dad you would do the same With much more loyalty!
